In order to get your brain out of the beta wave state of doing, achieving and going out to get shiz all day you will need to take a deep breath and count to 4. 1,2,3,4.
hold it for 7. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7...
release it and count to 8. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8...
After practicing healing meditation breathing techniques you will quickly learn to put your brain and body into rest and relax mode. This can be a great tool in your arsenal for survival in today’s fast paced world. In only a few minutes you will feel less stressed.
The signs of entering the Theta brain wave state begin with the body and mind becoming very still as if in a deep sleep without dreams. If acheived while awake during meditation, it seems as if the world has gone quiet and slowed down. While you are aware of everthing going on around you, you will feel,"chilled" or "peaced out".
You will be more relaxed. Your breathing will slow and sometimes feel as if it has stopped. Your heart rate will slow. Your blood pressure will drop. Do not worry. This is your body’s way of regenerating as if you are having a great time sleeping.
During the Theta brain wave state, your memories are moved from short term to long term so this is good to practice after studying a new subject or learning a new skill.
Your body and brain cells will use this time of rest for detoxification and regeneration. As your breath gets deeper and slower you exchange much more oxygen through your lung tissues which provides the power to heal.
You will feel less stressed as the leftover elements of cortisol and adrenaline leave the body tissues.
This is a great place to recognize which part of the brain or body your thoughts are coming from. You can train yourself to experience sensations directly instead of the normal beta wave state of thinking about or connecting a story to the sensation.
Thank you for being...
